Arlington, VA, February 2, 2023Air Force Aid Society (AFAS), the official non-profit, charitable organization of the United States Air Force and Space Force, will be featured on ‘Military Makeover with Montel.’ The show, hosted by talk show legend Montel Williams, is dedicated to transforming the homes and lives of military families across the country.



The AFAS, along with USAA, Gypsum Management & Supply, Westinghouse and other volunteers, were honored and privileged to present Retired Staff Sergeant Brent Maney and his family with a home remodel as part of the upcoming season. The episode featuring the Maney Family will air on Lifetime TV. Be sure to tune in, February 17 at 7:30 a.m. ET to see the first episode in this four-part series.

Retired Staff Sergeant Brent Maney enlisted in the United States Air Force as a pararescue in 1994 and was deployed numerous times in the early years of his military career. Staff Sgt. Maney served for 12 years, deploying to many countries, including Saudi Arabia, Africa, and South Korea, for Operation Southern Watch. Brent and his wife, Trudie, have been married for fifteen years. They have two boys, and the family now lives in Melbourne, Florida.

In a recent statement, AFAS CEO Kaleth Wright said, “It was an honor for our team to create change and give back to a deserving family like the Maney’s. Our entire purpose in life is to help Airmen and Guardians when they need us most so to be able to come down here, help Brent and his family…to volunteer and be a part of this entire thing man it just meant the world to me, our team that’s here and the entire Air Force Aid Society team.”
