Columbia Southern University Scholarship Application Deadline Extended to March 3rd!
Columbia Southern University is partnering with AFAS to offer a 60 credit hour scholarship to an Airman or Guardian spouse who is interested in attending CSU.
Who is eligible? Spouses of enlisted Airmen or Guardians on active duty, Title 10 Reserve and Guard on extended active duty, and Title 32 Guard performing full-time active duty can apply for the scholarship each year, which can be used toward obtaining an associate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree.
This is an online learning institution that you can attend from anywhere in the world!

Apply Now for a Hap Arnold Education Grant
The General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant program awards competitive education grants to eligible Air Force and Space Force dependents based on family financial need.
The application process for the Hap Arnold Education Grant also serves as the platform to access other important AFAS education support opportunities.
The application deadline for this grant opportunity is April 30th, 2024. Don’t wait until the last minute to apply! Begin your application on our website now, save your progress, and submit your FAFSA report when you recieve it.
Support AFAS With a Donation From Your IRA and You May Earn a Tax Break
Did you know that donating to Air Force Aid Society from your IRA may offer a special tax break?
If you’re age 70½ or older, you may use Qualified Charitable Distributions, or QCDs, to donate up to $100,000 per year. When transferred at age 72 or older, donations may satisfy Required Minimum Distributions and accomplish other tax goals. Please consult with a tax advisor to understand the full implications for your specific financial situation.

2024 Air Force and Marine Corps Trials
AFAS is thrilled to partner with The Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) Program (Air Force and Space Force) for their 2024 Air Force and Marine Corps Trials at Nellis AFB, NV, March 8 through 14.
The trials are a Paralympic-style competitive event featuring sports adapted to the individual capabilities of the wounded warrior athletes. Each athlete is competing to earn one of 40 Primary slots on their service team to go on and represent their individual branches at the 2024 Department of Defense Warrior Games.
We are excited to cheer on all the competitors in Nevada!
