Helping Airmen!….that’s what we do. Every day, the Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) helps Airmen travel to family funerals, fix their cars, pay rent or utilities, and purchase special medical equipment. Every day, Airmen and their family members enjoy AFAS-sponsored base community programs that offer free child care, spouse employment training, baby gifts for attending a “Bundles for Babies” pre-natal training class. Deployed Airmen receive pre-paid phone cards, and their spouses receive free car safety inspections and oil changes through the “Car Care Because We Care” program. Every day, our Education Department manages education grant and loan programs that help thousands of spouses and children achieve their dreams of attending college.
Every day, caring people make donations to the Air Force Aid Society to support these important programs. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Airmen you help, thank you for your generosity! Thanks to your help, in 2015 AFAS provided over 57,000 assists to Air Force members and their families totaling nearly $16 million. We look forward to your support in the coming year to ensure our Airmen and their families continue to receive the assistance and advocacy they need ….Every Day!
